Inspired by one of the most famous festive songs, this coin was designed by Canadian artist Risto Turunen. The reverse features a partridge perched in a fruit-bearing pear tree, indoors with a frosted window in the background and gently falling snow. The base of the tree is encircled by an enamelled bough of holly with pine cones, topped off with a red bow. The entire picture is framed by the words "CANADA 10 DOLLARS 2013"

The obverse features the Susanna Blunt effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the words "Elizabeth II D.G. Regina".
